2. Collection of personal data when visiting our website

a) In principle, you may visit our website without disclosing to us who you are. As is standard for virtually all other websites, the server on which our website is hosted (in the following, called “web server“) automatically collects information from you when you visit us online. This data is technically necessary for us and ensures the stability and security of the website..

Based on these findings, we will then optimise our online presence. d) Use of social media plug-ins We do not use any social media plug-ins. In some places, we merely provide links to Linkedin, Xing, YouTube and Twitter.
e) Embedding YouTube videos
We embed YouTube videos on some of our websites. The operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube servers is established. This tells Youtube which pages you are visiting. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can assign your surfing behaviour to you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your Youtube account first. If a Youtube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behaviour. If you have deactivated the saving of cookies for the Google Ad programme, you will not have to expect any such cookies when watching Youtube videos. However, Youtube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you wish to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in your browser. f) Embedding Google Maps
On our website we use Google Maps (API) from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"). Google Maps is a web service for displaying interactive (land) maps in order to visually present geographical information. By using this service, our location is shown to you and a possible journey is made easier. If you contact us via email or a contact form, we will save the data provided by you (your email address; if necessary, your name and your telephone number) so that we can answer your questions. Data collected in this context will be deleted by us once storage is no longer necessary, or we will restrict the processing if statutory storage periods exist.
i) Dynabook Chat
Our website has a chat function. You can use this function to contact staff in real time and ask product and service questions. In the chat, data is collected that you voluntarily provide to us as part of your enquiry. As a rule, it is not necessary to provide personal data.
