1. General information on the collection of personal data

a) The protection of your privacy when using our websites is very important to us – accordingly, we use your personal data in conformity with the legal regulations on data protection. Personal data means all data relating to you personally, e.g. name, address, email address, user behaviour. The following shall inform you on how we are handling your personal data.

b) Controller according to Art. 4 subsection 7 EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is Dynabook Europe GmbH, Stresemannallee 4b, D-41460 Neuss Germany; email: dataprotection@emea.dynabook.com. You can reach our data protection officer under SPIE Data Protection GmbH, Datenschutzbeauftragte der Dynabook Europe GmbH, Lyoner Straße 9, D-60528 Frankfurt, Germany.

c) If you are under 16 years of age, please obtain permission of a parent/legal guardian prior to making personal data available to us.

2. Collection of personal data when visiting our website

a) In principle, you may visit our website without disclosing to us who you are. As is standard for virtually all other websites, the server on which our website is hosted (in the following, called “web server“) automatically collects information from you when you visit us online. This data is technically necessary for us and ensures the stability and security of the website..
The web server automatically recognizes certain personal data – for example, your IP address, the date and time of day that you are on our website; the pages you visited on our site; the last website you visited before; the browser you are using (e.g. Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari); the operating system you are using (e.g. Windows, Linux, MAC OS) as well as the domain name and the address of your internet provider (e.g. 1&1, Telekom, Unitymedia). If our website uses cookies (as explained below), the web server stores this information as well (its legal basis is Art. 6 subsection 1 sentence 1 f GDPR) for essential cookies. For all other cookies, we obtain your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1. S1a GDPR).
We regularly analyse such server protocols anonymously for statistical purposes (click stream analyses) so that we can see how our websites are used. Based on these findings, we will then optimise our online presence. We can additionally use such information in case of a system misuse to determine the originator of such misuse in collaboration with your internet provider and/or local authorities.

b) In addition to the aforementioned data, cookies will be stored on your computer when you use our website. Cookies are small text files that are saved to your hard drive in connection with the browser you are using and by means of which the site issuing these cookies (in this case, our site) receives specific information.

Cookies cannot run programs or infect your computer with a virus. They are used to enhance the overall user-friendliness and efficiency of an online presence.

aa) This website uses the following types of cookies, the scope and functionality of which will be explained below: - Transient cookies (see bb)
- Persistent cookies (see cc).
bb)Transient cookies are automatically deleted upon closing the browser. This especially includes session cookies. They save a so-called session ID which is used to attribute different requests from your browser to the joint session. Your computer can thus be recognized, should you return to our website. Session cookies are deleted when you log off or close the browser.
cc) Persistent cookies are deleted automatically after a pre-set period of time which may differ depending on the cookie. You may delete the cookies anytime using your browser’s security settings.
dd) You may configure your browser settings according to your preference and thus decline, for example, the acceptance of third-party cookies or all cookies. Please note that, in this case, you might possibly be unable to use all functions of this website.
c) Third-party cookies on our websites
We allow third parties to place cookies on your computer via these websites. You can change your setup using the button below. Mandatory cookies won't be affected. Change cookies setting Use the button to change your setting. Green means third party cookies are accepted.

Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and abbreviated there. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. During your visit to the website, the following data is collected, among other things: pages you visit, your "click path" achievement of "website goals" (conversions, e.g. newsletter sign-ups, downloads, purchases) your user behaviour (e.g. clicks, dwell time, bounce rates) your approximate location (region) your IP address (in shortened form) technical information about your browser and the end devices you use (e.g. language setting, screen resolution) your internet service provider the referrer URL (via which website/advertising medium you came to this website)

You can also prevent cookies from being stored by setting your browser software accordingly. However, if you configure your browser to reject all cookies, this may result in limited functionality on this and other websites.

- Legal basis and revocation option

You can revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future by calling up the cookies setting tool and changing your selection there. For more information on Google Analytics' terms of use and Google's privacy policy, please visit: https://marketingplatform.google.com/about/analytics/terms/gb/ and https://policies.google.com.
d) Use of social media plug-ins We do not use any social media plug-ins. In some places, we merely provide links to Linkedin, Xing, YouTube and Twitter.
e) Embedding YouTube videos
We embed YouTube videos on some of our websites. The operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube servers is established. This tells Youtube which pages you are visiting. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can assign your surfing behaviour to you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your Youtube account first. If a Youtube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behaviour. If you have deactivated the saving of cookies for the Google Ad programme, you will not have to expect any such cookies when watching Youtube videos. However, Youtube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you wish to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in your browser. YouTube is used in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR. Insofar as a corresponding consent has been requested, the processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; the consent can be revoked at any time.

Further information on data protection at "Youtube" can be found in the provider's data protection statement at: https://policies.google.com/privacy
f) Embedding Google Maps
On our website we use Google Maps (API) from Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"). Google Maps is a web service for displaying interactive (land) maps in order to visually present geographical information. By using this service, our location is shown to you and a possible journey is made easier. When you call up those sub-pages in which the Google Maps map is integrated, information about your use of our website (such as your IP address) is transmitted to Google servers and stored there; this may also involve transmission to the servers of Google LLC. in the USA. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account via which you are logged in or whether a user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be directly assigned to your account. If you do not want your data to be associated with your Google profile, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data (even for users who are not logged in) as usage profiles and evaluates them. The collection, storage and evaluation are carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) DSGVO on the basis of consent. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, whereby you must contact Google to exercise this right. If you do not consent to the future transmission of your data to Google in the context of the use of Google Maps, you also have the option of completely deactivating the Google Maps web service by switching off the JavaScript application in your browser. Google Maps and thus also the map display on this website can then not be used. You can view Google's terms of use at https://policies.google.com/terms, and the additional terms of use for Google Maps at https://www.google.com/intl/en_EU/help/terms_maps/. Detailed information on data protection in connection with the use of Google Maps can be found on the Google website ("Google Privacy Policy"): https://policies.google.com/privacy.

If you contact us via email or a contact form, we will save the data provided by you (your email address; if necessary, your name and your telephone number) so that we can answer your questions.
